The hill of Forgiveness

 

I apologize to my feet for neglecting them; one of my little toes was nearly in dire straits.

Our plan for today was to traverse the ‘Hill of Forgiveness’, Santiago’s most renowned spot.

As I walked, I contemplated the benefits and challenges of being together.

The strengths of being together lies in warding off loneliness, enabling us to go further, and offering numerous opportunities for growth through interaction with others. However, it also entails relinquishing my own pace and learning to synchronize with others, sacrificing some personal time in the process.

Yet, today’s companionship provided nourishment for my soul. Walking slowly, I gained insights and received advice from seasoned travelers.

1.Choose a major that aligns with your interests.

2.After that, English proficiency.

Although I’ve long desired to enhance my English skills, I was reminded not to rely solely on language as a solution to all my problems. This sincere counsel resonated with me because it came from those who have experienced similar experiences or journeys before. I’ve resolved to heed these carefully and offer guidance to other facing similar challenges.

At the hill of Forgiveness, a landmark of the Camino, bronze pilgrims endure snow, wind, and rain, symbolizing perseverance.

Contemplating those who’ve walked this path before me, I felt a sense of purification, as if my sins were being washed away by the elements.

This journey marks a pivotal moment in my life, akin to my mandatory army service.

Descending, the sun beat down mercilessly, a reminder of its power in Spain. Under its relentless heat, my feet felt like eggs in a sizzling pan.

Ms. Han’s foot injury caused us to start the road first. I’m still unfamiliar with this route, where encounters and farewells seem to occur repeatedly.

I yearn to meet new people who can illuminate my path forward.

First and foremost, I must grant my weary feet some respite. As if by providence, today’s Albergue costs a mere 5 Euros, a well-deserved reward.
